HONORING A LEGACY OF SERVICE
Retired Educators Wall of Fame Unveiled
Inaugural Retired
Educators Wall of Fame
Inductees:
Colquitt County School District proudly partnered with the Colquitt County
Retired Educators Association (CCREA) to establish a permanent tribute to
the community's educational legends: the Retired Educators Wall of Fame.
The project culminated in a special unveiling ceremony at Withers

Auditorium, where the physical manifestation of the honor — a memorial art
piece designed by Red Clay Graphics — was revealed. New inductees' names
will be added to the leaves of this installation annually.
The inaugural class, honored for their indelible impact on education and the
betterment of the community, represents a combined legacy of over 170 years
of service.

CCREA President Julia Dorminey noted the honor of recognizing this initial
group, stating, "We look forward to filling the leaves of the 'tree of life' in years
to come." Superintendent Dan Chappuis expressed gratitude for the

inductees' work, calling the Wall of Fame a great pleasure to honor the
dedication of all retired educators.
This annual event, along with the permanent Wall of Fame, ensures that the
lifetime achievements of our district’s most dedicated educators will continue
to inspire current and future generations.
