Autumn
Hampton
Homecoming Queen to Salutatorian, 2021 Colquitt County High School graduate Autumn
Hampton was well-loved and academically accomplished during her high school days.
“If I have any advice for freshmen, it would be not to take anything for granted,” says Hampton.
“Every single day you are with your friends and learning new skills from the Colquitt County
School District, soak that in. It’s going to help you succeed in life later.”
Hampton took her own advice to heart, propelling her to much success at the
University of Georgia. She was featured on the University of Georgia's Beyond the
Arch website, “The Care in Health Care.” She was also named the UGA 2023-2024
Student Leader of the Year.
Autumn is the president of the University Union Student Programming Board, the co-founder of
the Biomedical Physiology Society, and the October 2023 Center for Undergraduate Research
Opportunities (CURO) Student Spotlight. Her research on stem cells and brain
tumors with UGA’s Center for Molecular Medicine was recently published by
Oxford Academic in the "Neuro-Oncology Advances" Journal and is advancing
knowledge in this critical field.
In the Fall of 2024, Autumn, now a fourth-year Biomedical Physiology and Sociology major,
completed the National Taiwan Sports University Study Abroad Program, where she expanded
her knowledge of Traditional Chinese medicine. Autumn has been featured in several social
media and printed publications for her outstanding achievements while at UGA.
