JRROTC PROGRAM

SERVING WITH DISTINCTION
The Colquitt County High School Marine Corps Junior
ROTC program was selected as a Naval Honor School
by the Commanding General of the Marine Corps for
Direct Nominations
As a Naval Honor School, the program
can nominate candidates directly to the
U.S. Service Academies (Naval, Air
Force, and Military Academy at West
Point).
Program Growth
Cadet participation increased by 15%
during the 2023-2024 school year.
Service & Achievement
Cadets completed 260 community
service hours, and 2024 graduates
earned over $91,000 in scholarships.
Competition Success
The unit competed in All-Service and
Marine Corps Nationals and hosted the
Region 2 Drill Meet. They also built an
obstacle course and hosted their first
Raider Meet.
The Rifle Team
The team took 5th Place at Area 2
Championships, and made the Quality
for Conference Playoffs.
The Raider Team
The team took 9th Place at the AllService National Raider Championship
The Drill Team
The team took 2nd at the Region 7
Drill Championship and 18th Place
at the All-Service National Drill
Championship.
the 2023-2024 school year, an honor last received in the
2012-2013 school year.
This recognition placed the CCHS program in the top
20% of all programs nationwide, based on its success in
community service, academic and scholarship
achievements, school involvement, and team
accomplishments.
Under the direction of Retired Lieutenant Colonel Jason
Perdew, the program continues to prepare students for
service. During the 2024-2025 school year, the
MJROTC Program had 99 cadets; three of the 2025
graduates enlisted (2 Marine Corps, 1 Navy).
