A heavy equipment simulator is designed for
construction, agricultural mechanics, and forestry
pathways. The simulator chair and console, with specific
equipment modules for forklifts, excavators, backhoes,
and forestry harvesters, address a critical workforce gap
in local heavy equipment operators. This highly
compatible Virtual Reality (VR) training provides over
250 students with the opportunity to develop high-wage
job skills and earn industry credentials.
A Fire Fighter Simulator for fire science and EMT
pathways utilizes VR technology to teach proper
firefighting techniques in a controlled environment. The
equipment enables students to practice critical thinking
scenarios in real-life situations safely, thereby bolstering
the rapidly growing Fire Fighting Pathway established
in January 2024.
