“Colquitt County School District Teacher of the Year, Jodi Beth Stuckey,” is a
phrase I never imagined possible — never even considered myself a candidate
for — yet those were the words I heard at the 2025–2026 convocation.
It was the kind of moment that left me stunned, shocked, blindsided by the announcement, in awe, and
overcome with a sense of pride.
Being born and raised in Colquitt County is something I consider extra special. There’s just something
about a small town that makes life fun, exciting, and contagious. When I think about it, it all goes back
to one thing — being a Packer.
Colquitt County is known for many amazing things, but
most importantly, Packer Pride. I will forever cherish the
memories of growing up wearing black and gold, cheering
on the Packers under the Friday night lights with my
family. As a teenager, suiting up in black and gold and
sporting those famous CCs on the athletic field was
an honor I’ll never forget.
